Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 plus 1 Saturday or Sunday in a 4-week period working from 09:00 – 15:00 (paid at 1.5 times your hourly rate) & a minimum of 3 Bank Holidays per year (in exchange for days off in lieu).

We’re the foundation brand bringing together our three companies, Lime, Calrom & Aviate, all with unique services to the travel trade. This position sits Aviate – here’s a little more on their speciality:

  • Aviate was founded in 2009 with the purpose of offering the best flight content to tour operators. They now encompass multiple brands with a broad offering, all with their customers in mind.

This role sits within Travel Agent Partnerships, the hub of action for our package products. You’ll find us creating bespoke packages for our travel agent partners and providing expert support via multiple communication channels. Every day is different, but a passion for travel and a commercial mindset is always beneficial for those looking to join our team.

The role

Selling exclusively to the UK travel trade, we ask our Travel Consultants to be passionate about crafting personalised, seamless, and exhilarating voyages that leave a lasting imprint of joy and excitement.

You’ll benefit from having access to a varied product range, featuring in-house contracted properties and benefiting from unique relationships with some of the world’s most diverse cruise operators. We’d love to hear from a candidate with a keen interest in cruising and knowledge of how this sector operates within the wider travel market.

Tasks & responsibilities include:

  • Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences, interests, and budgetary considerations.
  • Develop strong Agent, Operator and Supplier relationships to understand client needs and goals
  • Create unique tailor-made package & cruise based package holidays
  • Use various online systems to check availability, put together quotes & make bookings
  • Make sound commercial decisions on margins & pricing on a booking by booking basis
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the market and competition
  • Responsible for delivery and repackaging of a range of products from various suppliers
  • Carry out associated administrative tasks as required

We think you’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have experience in a reservations role within the travel industry either for a tour operator or cruise company
  • Have a confident telephone manner with strong communication skills
  • Have good travel geography knowledge with personal travel experience to Worldwide destinations
  • Have the ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
  • Have a strong attention to detail.
  • Deliver an efficient and professional service to TIG’s internal and external customers.
  • Attend and contribute in a positive and objective manner at team meetings or any relevant departmental/company meetings.
  • Aim to “self-learn / develop” skills and understanding of industry practices, procedures and policies that would impact Travel Innovation Group.
  • Have knowledge of net airline fares and rules, and GDS systems (desirable, but training will be provided).
  • Knowledge of Tour Operator reservations systems and software.
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Excel & Word.
  • Knowledge of Zendesk (desirable, training will be provided)
  • Strong organisation, prioritising, and time-management.
