Michael Edwards

Managing Director

From his school days, Managing Director, Michael Edwards was keen to get involved in the travel business, which influenced his decision to dive into the hotel industry. Starting his journey in the cafes and hotels of Llandudno, North Wales, he quickly progressed from dishwasher to management and eventually general manager of a boutique hotel in Barbados.

Here he was given the opportunity to become a Product Manager at a leading UK luxury tour operator. Travelling the world discovering new destinations and using his skills to select luxury hotels and develop new holiday concepts wasn’t a bad career move! Michael progressed to Managing Director where he spent ten years ahead of his directorship at Beachcomber Tours.

Keen to develop his own business, he made the move to create Lime in 2003 and the rest is history!

Meet the team

With over 35 years of experience, Lorraine is our Chief Performance & Training Officer, having joined us in 2007. She leads our training strategy and implementation, ensuring our team delivers the exquisite standard of service that defines our boutique approach.
Matt has been with us since the very beginning, joining in 2003. He oversees our aviation partnerships while driving commercial performance across the Travel Innovation Group, as well as our Product, Technical Integrations, and Transformation teams to deliver growth and innovation.
As Chief Financial Officer, ACCA-qualified Darren has been responsible for the finances across Travel Innovation Group since 2003. That’s a hefty list including the completion of the statutory accounts, statutory reporting to HMRC, CAA and IATA, as well as budgets and forecasts.
Simon is the newest member of our leadership team, joining us back in 2018. He has an extensive background in airport technology, making him the perfect person to lead our technology company, Calrom. He’s responsible for overseeing airline technology innovations and ensuring new projects are delivered to our airline partners.
Cathy is our Managing Director’s right-hand-woman – she started back in 2007 as Michael’s personal assistant and has since worked her way up to Head of Facilities. She’s responsible for the health and safety and the legal aspects of our company.
Naomi is our Head of Operations and has been with us since day one in 2003. She oversees our entire operation, from flights and group bookings to day-to-day logistics, ensuring everything runs seamlessly while keeping our legendary service at the heart of everything we do.
Our Head of HR, Hollie, has been with us since 2017. She leads all aspects of HR, from talent acquisition to policy development and organisational culture. Hollie ensures we attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent while fostering an environment where our team thrives.
