Our IT Support Engineers are the experts in providing technical support and assistance to end-users within our organisation. They are a crucial part in ensuring the Travel Innovation Group computer hardware and software systems are working and maintained allowing our employees to work at their best.

The role:

Your role in the team is to maintain both physical and virtual network infrastructure across both the back office (equipment & users) and production environments, making sure that all work is completed, tested and documented accordingly.  You will help prioritise the right tasks, resolve any ‘blockers’ to progress and manage dependencies from other teams.

Tasks & responsibilities include:

  • Create & implement security audits across computer hardware, software programs or both.
  • Discover vulnerabilities and risks in networks, software systems, and data centres with ongoing vulnerability scans.
  • Monitor network data and ensure hardware & software applications are updated.
  • Ensuring information being processed on these devices continues to perform as it should, despite any vulnerabilities found, in order to protect against data breaches.
  • Manage any potential attacks or intrusions that may occur making sure client information isn’t compromised.
  • Troubleshoot problems
  • Implement ongoing network monitoring and provide real time security solutions.
  • Keep networks, data and systems safe.
  • Communicate and make decisions in pressure situations.
  • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Manage and maintain IT inventory and asset tracking
  • Respond to user requests for assistance and provide support through remote assistance or in-person support
  • Document technical issues and solutions in a knowledge base for future reference
  • Work with other IT team members to identify and resolve complex technical issues
  • Perform routine system maintenance and updates

We think you’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Experience of administering Microsoft technologies – Azure, Entra AD, Intune / Endpoint Manager, Autopilot, M365, SharePoint, etc
  • Experience in hypervisor technology Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware
  • Familiarisation with ITIL v4
  • Knowledge of ISO27001
  • Experience with Kubernetes (Rancher and RKE2) would be beneficial
  • Experience in configuration of network equipment (Firewall and switches)
